Help your manager work smarter for you
As you may know, we offer management consulting services through our separate company, Professional Practice Consulting, Inc. (“PPC”). Such services are mainly provided by our founding partner, Bill Kalogredis, who is a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant (CHBC) as well as an attorney, and by our of counsel, Leif C. Beck, CHBC, whose consulting career spans over 30 years advising practices of all sorts and sizes.
PPC is now able to also offer expert advice and assistance in a specific area of practice management that some of you may find useful. Dorothy R. Sweeney has been a consultant for over 25 years, concentrating especially on issues relating to lay level management: office managers, administrators and executive directors, depending on practice size and complexity.
She has advised hundreds of practices on office manager and related practice management issues. If you feel your manager would benefit from her experience to improve his or her performance, or if you need to recruit and hire a successor manager, she is able to help. In certain circumstances she is able to provide contract management, working with your office on an interim, part-time basis to help educate your manager to further refine and structure administrative responsibilities.
A practice hums particularly well when a manager has good control and judgment over its business and staff details. Practice finances often vary dramatically because the manager is either extremely competent and performs well or is hampered in his/her work because of so many time demands. Ms. Sweeney’s advice may help make the difference in how your manager functions.
While smaller practices often refrain from engaging outside consulting help out of fear that it may be too expensive to afford, Ms. Sweeney can quote a modest fee geared to your size and needs. Sometimes just an hour or two can make a great difference in office and staff performance.
Call us to inquire about her services, and we’ll arrange a no-charge discussion between you and Ms. Sweeney.
