LAY ADMINISTRATION OF GROUP PRACTICES
Our assessment services cover a broad scope and include, by example, evaluation of a practice’s present administrator; determination of a practice’s administrative, employment and/or managerial needs; creation and structuring of positions based on a practice’s needs; redefining the roles of the practice’s management and administration; and establishing managerial goals, including guidelines and timelines.
RECRUITMENT FOR MANAGER/ADMINISTRATOR
We will conduct an on-site visit to determine the level of managerial or administrative expertise needed by the group. We will conduct and assist as needed throughout the entire recruiting process, including reference/background checks. Based on our knowledge of the health care marketplace, we are able to help groups design appropriate compensation/benefits packages. We are also able to serve as a resource for the newly hired manager during the initial transition period.
TRAINING A PRACTICE MANAGER
Our professionals will work with either an established manager, or a new one, to implement practice goals. We will develop measurements for the manager and practice to assess progress. In order to reach the practice’s goals, we work collaboratively with the health care professionals, managers and all members of the group’s administrative team.
CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
We will aid the practice in the retention of an on-site temporary administrator for a fixed period of time. This is offered to smaller practices that do not need a full-time higher level administrator, but need to have certain higher level duties performed on a short-term part-time basis. This service is also offered for practices owned by hospitals that may not yet have practice-level expertise readily available.
ASSESSING PERSONNEL, OPERATIONS AND PRACTICE ROUTINES
Our team will evaluate certain aspects of a medical practice (much like a general practice survey) in areas that are specific to a practice’s needs (for example, front desk operations, telephone triage/customer service, etc.). We will assist the practice in recruiting staff other than the practice manager/administrator including, but not limited to billing managers, front desk supervisors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, etc.
PRACTICE START-UP
We have significant and specialized expertise in working with health care professionals on all aspects of initially starting a practice. We have available an extensive checklist of items to be handled. Projects are usually handled over an initial six-month period. We will act as coordinator of other advisors to assure all talks are handled in an efficient and timely way.
